Precollege students had a very entertaining and educational week! Visiting the World Trade Center Memorial was an amazing opportunity. Although some have been to the memorial in Pennsylvania, being on the grounds of the Twin Towers was a very moving experience for many. On Monday, students had a chance to see what living in New York City in the early 90's was like while watching the Broadway musical Rent. The music was great, but students also learned about New York City and the changes that have occurred since they were born!  Students were also able to delve into the more distant past of the city by visiting the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.  They then had a week filled with games and fun, helping to prepare them for the Olympics! Students had the opportunity to watch the Mets play the Nationals and to play some games themselves at Dave and Buster's. The students are now ready for a weekend full of Olympics viewing, starting with the Olympics Opening Ceremony viewing party tonight!
